Plot Summary

Created in 2013 for ABC TV by Ilona Chaiken and Byron Balasco, this pilot didn't come through and the series was canceled. The only episode shows the decade long battle between two rival families that want to seize control of Venice Beach in California, the Carvers and the Nances. After leaving prison, Chris Carver gets back the reigns of power and clashes with his childhood friend Sophie Nance, the daughter of the man who ruined his family. Their passionate romance will stop the war, but things won't be that breezy under the California sun...

It was the prequel to a hit comedy-drama series that had a large audience and a loyal fan base, called Outrageous Fortune. It shows the origins of criminal safe cracker couple Ted and Rita West in the 70s. See more »
