You could put all of the Coen brothers movies on there. I think the thing about the Coen Brothers, it’s a specific aesthetic and a very specific tone and yet all of their films are very different subject matters. The Big Lebowski is the perfect mix of what the Coen Brothers embody, as well as this iconic character The Dude [Jeff Bridges] who is just brilliant. And there’s just this sort of wackiness to these characters and their lives and how they find themselves on this journey and it’s just a brilliant movie.

This is the kind of movie that makes me want to direct films. I think that you have these very what could seemingly feel broad characters and yet the Coen Brothers, Nicolas Cage, and Holly Hunter, they ground these insane characters so brilliantly.
